Vestry: Our Life Together

Vestry

Vestry is a gathering of people who are in regular attendance at St. John's and support the ministry of the parish over at least the past 6 months. As long as you are baptized in a Christian church, 16 years of age or older, not a member of another Vestry, and you are engaged with our ministry you are eligible to vote on matters before Vestry. Vestry has the task of approving budgets, electing and appointing lay leaders, and approving the vision and priorities of the ministry.

SAFE CHURCH.  We all share a responsibility to ensure that St. John's is a safe place for people.  As someone who comes to St. John's you are responsible to help create a safe place for yourself and others.  Familiarize yourself with the Safe Church policy and learn of steps you can take to create a place that is free from harassment, exploitation and abuse, or steps you can take if you have been a target for these behaviours.
