Come and sing Compline at St. John's Elora

Compline, also known as Night Prayer, is the final liturgy of the day in the traditional canonical hours of the Christian church.

St John's offers a service of Compline on the first Tuesday of the first full week of each month at 8pm. Our Compline liturgy draws particularly on chant and Renaissance choral music to offer a uniquely meditative and reflective experience.

The St. John's Compline Choir is open to any interested community singers, and meets once per month on Tuesdays at 6:30pm to rehearse before the service.

Singers are not required to commit to all services, and are welcome to join throughout the year as they are able. Proficient reading skills are an asset, but all are welcome; there is no audition to participate, and singers may join in each month's musical selections as they feel comfortable and called.
