St. John's has had a long and active association with the Primate's World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF). This resource, an outreach arm of the Anglican Church of Canada, works with partners around the world and across Canada in providing relief after natural disasters, and assisting in development opportunities to communities that are in need.
In a typical year St. John's hosts a lawn sale to raise funds for PWRDF and for a Portage Scholarship, and we partner with St James’ Fergus to offer a Harvest Tea in September to raise funds for PWRDF.
Annually we host a PWRDF Sunday in the fall to learn more about development needs and distasteful relief and how we can best respond.

This Canadian organization has been working on the ground to provide clean water to communities in Uganda. St. John's has had a long association with ACTS, and is keen to know how we can help establish water security for those who don’t have access to clean water.
